I always said that I would never compete on stage! For several years, I had already gotten into the best shape of my life and was already mentoring people on their own fitness journeys.

But like anything else in life, there is always that urge to push the boundaries! And that was exactly what I did. I decided to find a coach that could prepare me for my first fitness model competition. I wanted to compete naturally (no steroids) and under a Federation where athletes are drug tested. As most Federations do not drug test athletes and almost always, athletes are taking anabolic steroids.

So what this competition meant was getting as lean as possible and be proportioned enough to win! To be honest, I didn’t even have any real intention of winning. I would have been happy to just get on the stage! As there is about a 50% drop out rate from the beginning of prep to the end.

In parallel, I decided to document my journey as a new competitor. I shot videos of my journey ranging from the emotional ups and downs, meal plans, suffering a back injury, the posing practice requirements, deep insecurities, learning the judges expectations, getting DEXA scans, and so on. I even translated competition-level preparation to simple strategies that anybody watching the videos could apply that just wanted to achieve simple weight loss.

The videos turned into a web series spanning four seasons!

You’ll get a full insight into all of the behind the scenes and even video footage of me preparing back stage for the stage. It is the only video series on the market that covers a complete competition preparation from beginning to end.

There are four seasons which you can watch with your Amazon Prime membership. You can access them below by clicking the links.
